Love That Won’t Quit
By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16
What’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you? Now think bigger: what’s the biggest, most amazing way someone could show love? The Bible tells us the answer. Jesus showed the greatest love ever by giving up His own life for us on the cross. That’s love that won’t quit!
Because Jesus loved us like that, He wants us to love others in a way that doesn’t give up either. That sounds great when we’re talking about our best friends or our family. But what about that one person who’s really hard to get along with?
You know the kind...maybe a kid who’s bossy at recess, a sibling who bugs you, or a classmate who’s just not nice. Loving people like that is tough! It would be way easier to give up on them. But God asks us to keep on loving, even when it’s hard.
How is that even possible? You can’t do it on your own strength. You need God’s help. When someone is hard to love, you can pray, “God, please help me love this person. Open up my heart to them.” God loves to answer that prayer, and He gives you the kind of love that won’t quit.
Take Action: Think of one person who is hard for you to love right now. (You don’t have to say their name out loud.) Today, do two things: First, pray for them. Ask God to bless them and to help you love them. Second, do one small kind thing for them, like a smile, a kind word, or sharing something. You don’t have to feel like loving to act loving. With God’s help, your love can keep going even when it’s hard!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
