Trust God In Hard Times
But [Job] said to [his wife], “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. Job 2:10
There was a man in the Bible named Job who loved God very much. For a long time, Job had a wonderful life—a big happy family and lots of animals and plenty of everything. And Job thanked God for all of it. But then a really hard season came, and Job lost so many of the good things he had. It was a very sad and difficult time.
In the middle of all that hard stuff, Job had a big choice to make. He could get angry at God and turn away from Him—or he could keep trusting God even though life was hard. And do you know what Job decided? He chose to keep trusting God! He was basically saying, “Should we only thank God and be happy when things are good? No, we should still trust God even when bad things happen too.”
That doesn’t mean Job wasn’t sad that all these bad things were happening to him. He definitely was still sad! But being sad and trusting God can happen at the same time. Job teaches us that God is worth trusting in the happy times AND in the hard times, because God is always good, even when life isn’t easy.
Think About It: It’s easy to thank God when everything is going great. But what about the hard days—when you’re disappointed, when something doesn’t go your way, or when you’re feeling sad? Will you trust God then too? Remember, you can be honest with God about your feelings and still keep trusting Him at the same time. God never leaves us, even on the hardest days! That’s always a reason to keep holding onto Him!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
