In the Roman army, there were officers called centurions. Each one led a group of about eighty soldiers. The soldiers counted on their centurion to tell them what to do, where to go, and how to stay safe. A soldier who stopped listening to his commander was in big trouble!

After Paul talks about the Armor of God in Ephesians, he said something super important: pray! Pray all the time. And don’t just pray for yourself. Pray for “all the Lord’s people.” That means other Christians: your pastor, your Sunday school teacher, your friends from church, your family, and Christians all over the world you’ve never even met. We’re all on the same team!

Think about it like a sports team. If only one player practices and everyone else sits on the bench, the team isn’t going to do very well. But when every player is looking out for each other, the whole team gets stronger. When you pray for other Christians, you’re helping your whole team. And you’re staying connected to your Commander, Jesus, who guides you and gives you strength.

Take Action: Make a “Team Prayer List.” Get a piece of paper and write down the names of three people from your church or Christian friends and family. Next to each name, write one thing you could pray for them about. Keep the list by your bed, and pray for one person each night this week.
